2001 KDX200H (SR?) subframe tags

Hey lads,

I have an aussie '01, and there's a few tags and that sort of thing welded onto the subframe under the rear fender, and I always find them with my fingers when i'm putting the bike up on the stand or dragging it over a tree. Before I take a grinder to them, does anyone know what they're originally intended for?

images are a little large so find them here:

cheers fellas!

Welcome to the forums. USA models don't have that. Since some guy commented about the plastic thing being removed, is it a tag holder device that mounts to that area?

Look on google images for the SR model and see what went back there.

Blinker mounts??

yeah cheers. It looks like the indicators were mounted to a large plastic piece that sat under the fender, i'm going to assume that's what the tabs were for, and the pins must just be for when you're tying something onto the fender. Either way, I think they're coming off!

Nah, no nut, it looks like something clips in, probably the tailplate with the indicators etc.

Yes, those are the brackets for the rear fender extension which holds the tag and indicators. The pin like ones are attachment points for bungie straps for use with the rear rack which was common on the SRs.
