So i've got it into my head i'm going to really get this 94 kdx looking good not pristine

How to paint the frame
Dont want to powder coat Dont want to spend the $$ around here. $250 plus round here.

i can get a guy to blast the frame for cheap as a favor. after that??

regular spray paint? rust oleum? krylon? color rite? Seems more are more durable than others

or get a fellow to paint with auto paint?

Which would be more durable but more cost effective.

I wouldn't mind painting myself with auto paint but never have done , have no equipment but would be curious the cost and set up?

sand down the rust and clear coat the bare metal, cheapest, bottom of the barrerl, don't want to spend the money solution

I'm doing the same thing http://www.kdxrider.net/forums/viewtopi ... 77&t=21228 I found a guy who will strip the frame using a wet abrasive blasting process he has also offered to paint it as well using epoxy undercoat and if required whatever paint I want it done in.

In my honest opinion you don't want to go cheap on the frame. It's what holds the whole bike together and if you are like me you don't want to ever have to tear it down again after you put it all back together. Sometimes being cheap costs more when it's all said and done.
