Do i need the copper washer between the pipe and cylinder mine melted,should i seal the pipe and head some how used high temp silicone in the past thanks wes.2003 kdx200

The copper washer helps to prevent the pipe from damaging the aluminum head. Are you using the O-rings as well?

Yes you should install the copper rush washer and the o-rings.
You don't need to seal beyond that unless you have damage to the opening in the head.

Steel wins against aluminum. The washer helps protect the cylinder from wear from the pipe end. Get a new one.
