Does anyone know if you have to split the cases on the 175 to replace the crank seals? I looked at the parts fiche, but cant tell.

Without going into the shed to have a look at a set of cases, I'm saying yes.

Yeah, I found some cases on ebay that I enlarge and yeah, you got to split the cases. No worries.

I am looking for an expansion chamber and barrel from an 83 model if anyone has one they want to sell. I'm looking to upgrade my 80 model to the 83 motor. From what I can tell the main difference is the piston, barrel, and pipe. Suppose to give it 3-4 more HP.

What country are you in??

In the USA, we only had 1980 - 1982 KDX175. 1983, it went to KDX200.

I may have a pipe if you can wait a few weeks. I am not going to rebuild 1981 and 1982 KDX175's I bought a while back.
