This more me venting than anything. Has anyone else's clutch cable eyelet broken on the case. Can I weld a new hoop on there? Lol. Frustrated.

Son of a whore. I already have the mental picture. Sorry to read you have that issue. I don't know how to fix it, but the first step is usually to curse at it. I have done that for you. Now, if someone else knows how this can be repaired, please do tell. I know I have seen it before.

Haha. Curse at it I have. I'll try to post pics tomorrow. In bed about to dream of sweeping trails and small obstacles.

You should be able to get it welded ( provided you still have the broken piece )
Or you could fabricate a piece of steel that attatches to the clutch case bolts with a loop for the cable to fall into ....similar to the Suzuki drz set up

what corny said
I would try to make one myself
picture the chain guard and your halfway there

(cast aluminum can be welded, but its not as easy or cheap as welding steel)

A little less than half the hoop is still there. Broken piece gone. I have the cable resting in what's left with the cable nut tightened as much as I could without forcing itself back off. Then I skillfully applied a zip tie in sailor knot fashion. Lmao

Ride it that way while you wait for an inner clutch cover to show up on ebay. You could use some JB weld to form the broken part just to hold it all together inthe mean time.

Good call. Didn't occur to me that there is a separate inner clutch cover. I'll keep an eye out and swap it with the next clutch service.

That would maybe work if I still had the broken piece. But good info either way
