Here we are headed out for the 100 mile turkey run. I asked a 30yr. younger friend if he wanted to ride my 05 / 220.
I rode my son's 06 / 220 , yes it was that clean also.

He loved it but ALOT different that his FAT bike he rides 20 miles off road every week end.
200lbs is alot different than a 20 lb bike.
We'll keep an eye open for a project bike ,,,, for next year :)

A little Maxima SC-1 helps quite a bit and the bikes clean up much better after the ride .
The ride was actually pretty knarly this year. Ammonusuc River 2 day turkey run in N. Haverhill NH.

You rode 100 miles on a single tank of gas? Please share your secrets!!! I'm lucky to get 60 miles from a tank.

We only rode 70 of the 100 miles and when we got back , I drained 3/4 of a gallon on reg. petcock and another 1/2 a gallon on reserve.
We didn't baby them either ??? First time I've ever checked fuel mileage. I think we could have done entire run.
I double checked the stock tank and a measured 3 gallons is rt. to the bottom of the filler neck.
One of the guys at the fairground where we started said he could get 90 miles out of his KTM-300 2 stroke.
Note : Both bikes were very close in consumption ,, I'd say the 223 used a little more.

220 mods are very high compression heads to run a true 95 octane fuel, Intake ported cylinders , Advanced ignition timing , optimum jetting for very
linier performance, not too lean ,, Maxima 927 at 32:1 , 35mm carbs with RB slides, PC pipes with shorty silencers ,, Mine is actually a 223cc as it has a 70mm piston.
I think we're making 34-35 horse power ,,,,

All I know is what the odometer said and what gas came out of the tank ,,,,, I know it sounds high.
Like I said earlier , I've never checked it before and have no idea if the mods effect it in a positive way.
I do know they run great and NEVER foul a plug :)

What was the terrain?

Typical New England ,, lots of rocks , roots , tree's to avoid , dry and dusty with lack of rain this summer.
Most of the riding with these 220's was under half throttle. 3/4's of the other rider were on orange 450's
and you heard them just grunting along all day.
Here's a clip of LAST YEARS on a different trail. "" SHOULD HAVE WATCHED CLOSER AS THIS CLIP IS OF MUCH MORE OPEN ROADS "
