Releasing needle from slid body

So I just pulled my carb off the bike to check clip position and jet sizes. I cannot get the needle out of the housing. A thread here says pull the spring back and put a 6mm socket on that little nut. Unscrewing that will release everything.
However it seems the throttle cable sorta runs through the nut so the socket won't go on. What's the trick here? I don't get how I loosen that bolt head with the cable in the way. Please help.

It's a little tricky, while holding the spring compressed with one hand push down on the cable, the cable has an end on it that fits in a little pocket holding it in place. The spring pressure when it's in the slide keeps it from coming loose. Once you have the spring compressed and the cable pushed down you can move the cable to one side and it should pull out of the slide. Then you can take that 6mm out.

Lift the spring up, it rests on a little round piece of plastic in the slide. Lift that up and you can slide the cable out of the slide.

Got it out thanks. Not sure why I have two threads on this.

A trick is to use a hemostat to hold the spring compressed. Compress the spring, lock the hemostat onto the cable. Makes the job so much easier.
