I believe my rear hub is busted (see other post). I read somewhere a Honda XR rear wheel will fit. Is that true? Any other bike's rear wheel bolt up? Trying to find as many options as I can so I can find something affordable.

I think I did a thread about this before. KX hubs fit, but I don't remember what years.

Kx thru 2002. In 2003, they increased the rear axle diameter.

the E model rear will fit on the H just fine. if you want to run an H rotor, just drill / tap the hub for the H rotor. <-- that's what i did

Will the e-rotor just bolt up without drill and tapping? Also, comparing part #'s, looks the E series is 1.85, vs the wider 2.15 H series. I'd prefer to stay wide. I currently have a trials tire on it.

I bought a complete H series wheel this morning on ebay for $140 shipped, BUT, the bearings are removed. That concerns me, but seller says it's fine. We'll see. They take returns, but I'm hoping it's not a $60 gamble.

So just the hub off a KX will fit? Or the whole wheel? What is the oldest KX? Since inception to 02?

I don't mind swapping sprocket and rotor, but don't want to relace spokes if I can help it.

Should have upated status as well. The ebay wheel is junk. I messaged seller to check bearing faces. He said they were good. I bought it, and put a note with my payment saying to double check that bearing clip area and face is good, because if not, I will mail it back. Waited a week to get junk. I am totally pissed. Don't ever buy from Independent Cycle Salvage in Spokane WA or from their store on ebay. This totally sucks.

Exactly! I did get a full refund, and he paid for shipping. Found another one on eBay, for 225. It got here today. Looks great! Should be back on the trail soon.

Did you ever figure out what all years kx wheels fit? I have an 01 with tuskago wheels I may try

I did enough research to find out if want width looking. I bought a used KDX rear complete of eBay. The KLR 650 would work, but it's a tiny 17", a bunch of KX will fit, but they are MX 19" stuff, that doesn't give many good trail or enduro tire options. Sorry, I'm not much help.!

No that's good help! I know a buddy that has black excel wheels with talon hubs he wants to sell off his kx and is hoping they fit

Go to this website, and look at the part numbers for your bike and his. Compare very carefully.
