Partial Bike Rebuild (frame painting?)

Hello.

So, I have decided I am going to tear down my bike (1985 KDX 200), and clean it really well. I mean completely stripping the frame, and degreasing everything. I am going to replace miscellaneous bolts with the correct hardware, and fix up the same stuff while its all apart. I am not rebuilding the engine, but I am changing the lower cylinder gasket, clutch case gasket, and stator cover gasket.

What it needs:
-Gaskets
-New stator coil
-Clutch needs to be looked at
-Grips
-Chain guard/mud flaps
-Actual Killswitch
-Air filter
-A good cleaning

So, while everything is off the bike, I am considering repainting the frame, since i don't plan on ever doing it again. I am not gonna go crazy with different colors, just black. Has anybody ever tried a repaint? I heard this stuff called air craft remover is pretty good. Anyone have experience with it? Thanks for your suggestions.

I had mine powder coated. The painter had the frame sand blasted to get it clean and bare.

How much did it cost? I am trying to save as much money as possible.

I paid around $300, that was for the frame, swing arm, rims and hubs.
