1996 kdx 200 kickstarter

I recently got a 1996 kdx200 and when we bought it we realized there was a small crack in the Kickstarter and it has just now broke off a few days ago and it would miss sometimes if I buy the whole Kickstarter assembly will that solve the problem and where can I find the best one for the money
