exhaust drool

I have an FMF pipe on my '93 and I can see one copper exhaust gasket in the exhaust port. I get a lot of black drool draining out of the exhaust port. Is there a solution for this? Or, is it just normal? Can I stack copper gaskets inside the port?

there should be two black rubber ones in grooves around the pipe where it goes into the head. I replaced those and the copper one and it stopped any drool I had.
