just got a deal on a 93 roller, no engine, but some of the rest is there:Image

the plan is to street legal the frame, pick off any good pieces and watch for an engine to pop up on Craigslist.

if nothing else, use the wheels as a second set, and the triple tree as the guide for my ktm 300 form upgrade.

we'll see... :)

Sure that's a 93? Should have the blue USD forks on it

Yeah looks like an 89-92. Check the VIN stamped on the steering stem, the 10th digit will be the year indicator (K = 1989, L = 1990, M = 1991, N = 1992, P = 1993, R = 1994). If it turns out to be a 93 then someone swapped front ends.

90 - 92, due t not having the green spring from 1989

If you don't mind me asking, what did you have to give for it? I am curious as to what I could get for one of mine (with an engine).

a buddy posted it on facebook for $100.

i'm not really concerned with what year it is, so long as the VIN is clean enough to title the frame. i'll watch for an engine to pop up on the interwebs, and slowly build it up to a daily rider, and lace up some 17" wheels just to be silly amounts of fun. it will NEVER be pretty, i can guarantee that. ;-)

expect a build thread of 2-3 years with lots of mistakes along the way ;-)

WOW! $100 sounds cheap.

Thanks for letting me know.

I'm wondering if i should keep waiting for an engine or break it on here/eBay. i plan to keep the wheels, but the rest isn't going to match up with my 97...

Are you needing a fully rebuilt engine like new, a blown up one or one inbetween?

What price are you looking at?

I'm watching Craigslist for one that might need a simple top end, or just really good deal (cheap) engine to pop up. since i have a drz and kdx that are currently running well, it's not a real priority.
