Replacing the exhaust pipe O-rings and copper gasket along with some high temp sealer. The copper gasket is flat on one side and rounded with a seam on the other side. I assume the flat side goes towards the engine but my Cyclepedia manual does not state which way and I just wanted to check before I put it back together.

I've installed it both ways and haven't noticed any better sealing either way. I apply a little high temp RTV to it so it stays in the exhaust flange while I install the pipe.
