2002 kdx 220 rear wheel

Ive got a rear wheel on an 02 kdx 220 that is a mess. Cracked rim and questionable hub. The previous owner has a non kdx wheel assembly on it, i have no idea what it came off of. Can Kx wheels be used on a KDX and if so do i need to get KX spacers? An ebay search has turned up empty for months

With a bearing swap, a KX or RM hub is a possible fit. As far as spacers go, you should measure, just to make sure that you have the correct spacing.

KX wheels from the 1999 to 2002 and possibly earlier interchange if you use the correct spacers from the bike that you are installing it on. 2003 forward has a larger diameter axle.
I swap KDX wheels on my 2002 and 2001 KX hybrids all the time.

Thanx...now i wanna make sure were on the same page...correct spacers u said...for ex: if i got an 02 KX250 wheel for the 02 Kdx 220, should i buy spacers for the KDX or KX...also, are the axle sizes the same on a KX?

With an 02 KX rear wheel, use your KDX axle and KDX spacers on the KDX frame. I also have an 01 KX/KDX Hybrid and am running the KDX wheel on the KX frame with the KX axle and KX spacers. As long as you use the spacers intended for the correct frame it will work.
