I have a 1991 200. I have a carb and I have replaced carbs before just not like this one. The problem is where the cable goes into the slide how do you get the cable out. I see there what looks like a nut and I am not sure if I have to remove it or not. I have checked youtube but there is nothing i could find that showed how to do that. I am sure it is simple but I dont want to really mess with it until I know what I should be doing.

I think it is a 8 MM screw
once that is loose you can pop the cable right out of the slide

From what I can see it more of a bolt type there is no place to put a screw unless it is below. It really shouldnt be that difficult but I dont want to break anything since parts are limited for a 91

On my h series pwk , that 6 or 8 mm bolt holds the jet needle in place. The cable is removed by compressing the spring and pulling up the plastic piece that fits on the bottom of the spring. The plastic piece has a little tang on it that fits in a groove inside the slide, the end of the cable is in a little pocket inside the slide and the cable slides into a slot the same slot the plastic piece fits into. The spring and the plastic piece hold the cable in place. When you have the spring and plastic end pulled up, push down slightly on the cable and the end should pop out of it's pocket. This is the way most carb slides work, some may not have the plastic piece on the end of the spring. Hope this helps.

6mm hex, six-sided, not 12!
