92 KDX200 bogging after riding full throttle

Hi, I finally got my 200 running after a carb rebuild and exhaust cleaning. It runs great and it has been a little mild so it started up first kick to my surprise. I can ride it around for quite a while, especially in the woods at low to mid rpms, but when I'm ripping up a long hill or on the road and it goes into the high rpms and powerband it will be okay for a few seconds and then bog, sometimes shutting off. I usually have to choke it to run again, where its fine until I do it again. I had it running in the woods and on some little climbs for at least 30 minutes and it runs good, but not when wide open. Any help?

My guess would be that you mildly bent the float a little and it's not refilling your carb fast enough.

So you mean the black plastic float? I have another carb that I could try to swap the floats with.

Yes the black plastic float. You can "set" the float height to proper levels again....I'm assuming you accidentally bent the arm that sets the height. No need to swap carbs, just take yours off, remove the bowl and check the float height.

Thanks so much! I didn't know much about float height but after some research and your advice I got it so it doesn't leak, and doesn't shut off.
