Hey guys, im pulling the topend off my sons bike, first time since acquiring....ive done many of topends but im having trouble gettinf cyl. Off of this beast. It seems to be hanging up on the stud closest to the kips actuator arm. Ive disconnected the arm and i dont see anything thats physically still holding it down! Ive soaked the studs with PB to no avail. Trying to refrain from smacking it too hard with deadblow...(no prying for godsakes!) Is there a trick? I dont have manual any longer due to my hdd dying awhile back. Thanks in advance.

"Electrofusion"...Kawasaki's poor-man version of Nikasil. You would be looking at re-plating in Nikasil if worn out. I'll be having a backup welded up & re-plated from a motor that ate a piston skirt (truly abused by previous owner), and may do the same with the current, functional unit. With these two done up properly, and with treated/forged pistons, I should be good on cylinders for another 20 years.

That looks fairly worn.

Look at Langcourt or Millenium.
