Hey all,

I just got a 2001 KDX220 and I was looking to replace some of the beat up or missing OEM parts. It looks like getting newer than 2001 parts is substantially cheaper!! Does it matter what year parts I buy?

As an example side covers are $55 for a 2001 but $15 for a 2003?? Thx!

where did you find the 15 dollar side covers?
(I could use some for my 97 220)

throughout its run the 220 has only seen changes in paint and decals
every other part from 96-06 is the same
and to open your options even further, the only difference between a 200 and a 220 are the top end, the carb and the chain
(and maybe the CDI, not sure on that one) everything else you can swap without worries

Thanks! I kinda figured there were few differences. I need a headlight. The green color is the same?

all Kawasaki green is the same, but keep in mind that a 10 year old part might look different from a brand new one
