Rear Brake Lever Fix?

Like many KDX's, my rear brake lever has hogged itself over time and now there's quite a bit of side to side play on that machined peg. Has anyone come up with a decent solution? Shim stock? I was thinking maybe welding the hole up solid and re-drilling it out? I could also fashion a new donut piece and weld it in?

Doesn't look like the peg that's a part of the frame is easily replaceable.

I machined a brass bushing and used 92 kx250 lever. Works great.

mine as well needed some attention and since then I put about one or two copper crush washers (think just one) before the lever. Took quite of bit of play out of it and didn't bind it up. Still has side to side but not as bad. TBH I was just looking to buy new really. I do like the weld it and redrill I don't have the machining skills for making said above sleeve.

Hey you asked. The only extra thing I had to do for kx250 lever was fashion an adjustable lever stop. Does it work better than factory lever? Probably not. Does it weigh less? Yes, it's aluminum. Does it look better? Yes

Rear brake is over rated anyways.

Good luck on your journey, and let us know what you end up doing.
