has this ever happened to anyone bought the bike from a junk yard this is what I found ,and the water pump impellar is binding up,could that possibly be on backwards

ok so the dumb ass who had this bike before me was an idiot thought it looked a lil off I had to look up what the primary looked like then I noticed it looked backwards on the bike thanx

I was wondering what became of this.........wow looking at it instead of on my phone shows so much more. Looks like it is also hitting the clutch basket as well.

That gear I wouldn't reuse. If you look at say babbits or Kawasaki parts dealer for oem they usually have a parts diagram that you can see what part number it is.

Well on a good note hopefully it didn't overheat everything else is good just last owner took it to the yard because it had a weird sound on the bottom end from the gear reversed.

Your water pump spur gear is indeed installed backwards. the chamfered face of the gear should face the clutch basket. More concerning is the odd wear pattern of it and the damage tot he primary spur gear...that engine ate part of itself at some point. I'd replace them both .

I thought the crank gear looked weird ,im def going to replace both
