I already have the airbox drilled out and am looking into a full exhaust system (gnarly wood/powercore II) so what else is there to do?

If you are on a budget, forget the powercore II. It offers no performance benefit, besides a little weight loss.

There's too much to read on them lol did you get the RB head and carb done? And do boyesen reeds have better fuel delivery or what?

What is the condition of the reeds in the bike now? New reeds are not much.
If you want the bike easier to ride fast vs. the engine making more power, then look into suspension.

a piston if yours is still stock. then RB carb and head, then pipe and reeds. if it was mine then freshening up of the suspension would be before any of this.

I would skip the RB carb until you run out of things to spend money on. Like said before, make sure the engine is good then go after the suspension.

My dad did the suspension for me (160lbs) and I just ordered one boysen carbon reeds. Just figured out about a guy near me who takes 220 engines and bords them to 250s and mods the carb so I may do that

i'd be weary about anyone boring to 250 a kdx jug. As far as i know (i.e from pro and reputable shops), 225 is about as far as you can go and keep the valves...

In my opinion the best bang for the buck on a 220 is the RBD head mod. This assumes intake and exhaust, including jetting, have been gone through.

He's been doing it for 10 years, I'm not sure what all he does but a 250 bore or maybe a different cylinder head and piston or something to get it to a 250 is pretty much all I know as of now. I think the guys last name is Verucci or something close if anyone's ever heard of him, he's pretty well known in my area (Pennsylvania)
