i understand this is a long shot, but is there any chance there is a throttle cable at my local sears/home depot etc that will fit the kdx220 ?


you can slap me for asking, but i had to ask just the same. sometimes stuff is really simple and common knowledge, but not for the newbies.

I have a few drz throttle tubes in the parts bin, so I filed one of the ends down to size and it worked fine.



I was surprised to have both the carb and tube ends break as I was pulling the damaged cable off the bike. It wouldn't have made it out of the garage, let alone the driveway.

New cable is smooth as butter. :-)
