Hi Folks,

I am looking for some suggestions for our new to us 2004 KDX 200. I want to pick-up a skid plate for it and I am hoping to get some suggestions from you folks before I start looking on-line. First hand reviews are always the best way to start the shopping.

Piece of metal that you attach to the bottom of the bike, it works, doesn't really (to me) matter what brand you use. I bought one for my 95 (same bike as yours) from RMATV for $60 or so.

High impact plastic, it's pretty low cost and you can make it fit almost anything. For what it costs to buy a new skidplate you can buy a sheet of plastic and make several. There are quite a few websites to order from, I think even Amazon sells sheets of it. If you have multiple bikes it's handy and lightweight.
