Rollers missing from linkage bearings

Hey guys, quick question!

I was changing the linkage dog bone rod from the aftermarket lowered one that came with my bike to a stock one that I made, and while fiddling around getting the bolts out, 3 rollers from the bearing dropped out... I put it all back together fine and it rides as good as ever.

So, my question is, I'm aware that eventually linkage bearings are on the cards, but what can I expect from the worn linkage bearings in terms of riding the thing? I'm going riding on Friday and again Tuesday for the Easter long weekend, and I'm wondering if I'll notice it over a longer ride...

To test it I just went over a few jumps and it feels significantly better than it did with the KDX3 2.X inch lowering links (I'm 200lbs odd and 6'1")

Do you mean some needles fell out of the needle bearings? You probably won't be in too much trouble but they are only 2-3 dollars a pop from pivot works

Riding the bike with worn bearings in linkage will result in a notched linkage and youll eventually result in a low rider effect and youll feel the results. Basically youll feel like the kuba link is in until you pull up on the rear of bike. Look at my post for linkage bearings and I had a member "bufftester" send me a spare one.

Install new bearings in new linkage and youll be fine. Reusing any bearing is a no no. Damage to races usually occur when removing.

If you hop on an order now you should be good for upcoming.....edit seen in Australia not so sure.

Linkage gets a lot of abuse one thing I check on looking at other bikes now. Usually a good indicator how other bearings condition as well.

Get to ordering new or try to find a shop to get some, worth the money considering they(linkage) are hard to locate and buy. I had a terrible time trying to find a decent one when I needed it.

also I always tell people I see from Australia

Austalia should let Crocodile Dundee visit the states. He went through a hell of a time with taxes said being owed to them while filming here. They wouldn't let him see his kid or wife. Sorry just watched a couple of his movies, hes a good actor. :boogie:

If you got all the needles back in and there is little noticeable play you should be fine for a couple rides. Definitely want to replace them regularly and keep them greased well, they get abused and forgotten a lot and when they go it gets tough to fix.
