Ok so I walked into the garage the other day and my bike had fallen over, I stood it back up and then a couple of days later started it up but a lot of black liquid shot out the exhaust and gave my buddies quad an oily fuel paint job. My only guess is that when the bike was on its side that the crank oil/gear oil somehow leaked by and rested on the piston. So as soon as I fired it up it must have all shot out, does this sound accurate, not much exp with 2 strokes here. So am I in need of a rebuild or what, will upload pic asap

I would guess that it just moved the "spooge" around in the silencer/pipe and allowed it to come out in an obvious way. 2 strokes tend to spit normally anyway so I think its probably fine and nothing to worry about. Other than the mess of course...

The transmission is separate from the top end.

Perhaps the liquid spooge in the pipe shot out or somehow the residual oil pool at the bottom of the crankcase leaked out??

I'm just guna drain the crank oil and refill it, just in case and then let her run for a bit

Don't let it set and idle for too long without air blowing over the radiators.

Are you running the OEM Muffler? or a FMF replacement?

that seems like a little more then regular spooge
I would check the oil level just to be sure (takes about 12 seconds with the sight glass anyway)

on a side note, I have that same helmet (and matching pants and jersey)

Wow, that is a lot.

Can't be your tranny oil.

Was the gas petcock on when the bike fell over?

ya it was more than i figured was normal
i dont believe the fuel was on, im almost positive it wasnt. on a side note I cleaned the shed up in order to overhaul the bike

but ya I havent had time to really check the bike over yet, but i was just basically asking if its possible for oil to come from anywhere up into the combustion chamber like that

that is a lot.
Could it be gas and oil mixed with antifreeze?

First thing I'd do is remove the silencer and start it up, if it's still barfing that stuff up, you know it's not residual oil so I'd skip the oil change and get inside the motor to have a look. If there's a big mess inside the cylinder, you're likely looking at some pretty bad crank issues possibly seals or bearings

Also yeah check your coolant levels. I had a similar looking scenario pictured there, but that turned out to be a crack in the cylinder under the KIPS bottle(KIPS cover), water getting into the cylinder through the expanion bottle port

Looks like fuel or water mixed with oil, did it smell oily or gassy? Had you washed the bike recently (could have water getting in the exhaust. At the very least you'll want to repack the silencer and pull the drain plug on it. I'd take the pipe off completely and take a look, as well as checking your coolant level. You weren't this guy, were you?

when it happened i smelled it and it didnt smell sweet so I doubt it was coolant but who knows. once it warms up here ill be brave enough to start tearing it apart, ill make sure to keep this thread updated and add pictures with what I find

I think i found the culprit
Image
it was all in the expansion point
Image
im guessing its fuel
Image
:partyman: im almost 100% positive it was all fuel and that i must have had the valve open, no coolant was missing out of the radiators.

one would think your bike has issue having fuel mix leaked into the pipe like that...
bad carb? float and needle come to mind...
