New turbine core different mounting? pic
I am replacing my beat up fmf turbine core 2, with the same unit, but brand new. The mounting holes are no where near the same size. Why would this be?

looks like the old one was designed to use rubber isolation mounts, and the new one isn't. Odd.

You bought a whole new silencer? that has to be expensive...why not just clean it up and replace the packing?
On mine, there is a secondary swinging bracket extension that connects the mounting hole to the frame
here I found a pic

Not my bike here btw, yuck

Should i just solid mount it? I could try and use part of the old rubber bushing between the frame and silencer...

Yeah, bolt her up. Shouldn't make too much difference in vibration anyway.
