Hi All,
Julien spotted this "mod" on the top of my needle tube - I see from pics on the net, its not stock.
Mine:

With Thanks to RB Designs for the Pic

Anybody know any other features to identify if this carn has been worked by RB? (Other than the dividing plate)
Isn't it funny how knee down is painfull off road, yet foot out is likely impending doom on a Superbikes?

Me again - so been musing on this - the block looks professional done, the carb body is in need of a spit and polish. Conclusion - an RB block somehow mated to a stock carb body? I know that the spray tube is flat on a four stroke, and angle cut on a two stroke, but am unsure what effect this cutout has on performance, and where in the rev range the change is targeted at. Penny for your thoughts...

Interesting find. I'll take a look at my RB carb and see if that notch is present and get back to you.

My RB carb has the notch.
But this carb is definitely not an RB carb and it has the notch:
I'm wondering if that notch is even one of his modifications?

I am not thinking so. I have come think it's a difference in newer vs older PWKs, after scouring for pics.

Wonder if it's a difference between KDX OEM carb, and a "Retail" carb? They are different.

lowering the engine side of that needle tube will make like the mid range is jetted richer.
