i recently acquired a FMF Gnarly pipe with the matching aluminum spark arrestor/silencer from a buddy that was selling his kdx, thru a little horse trading. the weather has been so crappy in the last few weeks i have not had an opportunity to ride it yet.
What do you guys think, will there be a noticeable change from the stock exhaust, or does it just look "cooler?"
It does weigh much less than stock.

There is a bit of difference over stock, but you will need to rejet to garner all the benefits.

Its much easier than everyone thinks it is. There is a jetting guide
here. Just start at the beginning and go through it without skipping any steps. As always, fresh fuel at the mix ratio you plan to use, new plug, clean filter, bike mechanically sound before you start. Once you figure it out and wake the bike up you'll wonder why you waited so long to do it!
