So I recently started riding again and dusted off my kdx. While getting back into the swing off things I have found myself examining the the trail with my face . But in all kidding aside it seems as though when I drop my bike I leak a ton of gas. I don't remember ever killing nature as much when the bike went down before, but I could be wrong. Is there anything I can tweak to help this, besides staying upright .
Maybe check to see all the vent lines are still there?
I would imagine a carb without vent lines would leak more when on its side but then again...it may only appear that way untill you pick it back up

-1996 KDX 200 woods weapon (converted to 99 green body)
-1996 KDX 200 plated street toy (barneyedition) -2003 Yamaha TTR125-L (wifeys bike) -1997 KDX 220 project bike
dropping the bike on the left side would allow gas to reach the petcock and continue flowing out, if you were a little low on gas and fall on the right side the gas wouldn't reach the petcock
so maybe try to drop the bike on the right side
but watch the pipe doesn't get smashed in the attempt of saving the enviroment
I got all my overflow/vent hoses hooked up. It have always leaked this much and I just spent more time riding and less time lifting before . My pipes already smashed so no worries there. Just gotta get used to all the ruts the quadtards leave. I'm hoping to get in some time this weekend to take on some single track as the main trails here are way over used. I normally can handle technical but the hard pack ruts and loose big rocks that roll in them has been sending me airborn lol.
I just gotta get some more seat time, spent too much time riding my street bike the last two years, I was thinking about investing in a cape so I at least look cool when I go flying.......
