Does the Panoram computer show anything besides the time if the bike is not moving? I got a used one, and the buttons don't do anything. I have it outside the mounting bracket.

Thanks.

Nope.

Not unless you use the buttons. Go to their site and it will have a manual to show you what they do.

You may need a new battery....

Allow me to further clarify and you can help me out.

I think it is broken. When I bought the KDX250, the guy said it just needed a battery. It didn't do anything until I put a battery in it. It slides into some housing with two metal posts on it that touch the main part when they are attached. Are you saying that the buttons won't work until it is in that mounting bracket? Will it work if the wheel is not moving?

Thank you kind sir.

Allow me to answer correctly.

It will work at the north pole, a gazillion miles away from any bike or mount. 'Work' meaning it will display the information it had last and the buttons will work to do things like reset odos, set wheel circumference and stuch.

Yours is broke.

I know 'bout that cuz the unit on my wife's warrior is broke the same way..the buttons don't work no more.

Well..one of 'em don't. That disallows you from resetting things and setting some things, even.

I've been meaning to take the thing apart because I'm sure that if you CAN take it apart..you could clean the 'buttons'.

...haven't tried it though.

Hey! Let me know how it works when YOU rip into it!!

You're welcome!

A new unit can be had for $47 if you have everything else. Sorry I wasn't too clear....

No problem on being clear or not clear. I didn't explain it too well to start with. It was on the bike when I bought it, so I was curious about it.

Also check the cable. When you correct the button problem, if it still fails to record milage, YAda, YADA, YADA-then your cable may be shot
