Anyone know if a 220 top end can be used on an e series 200? I have the 200 apart and the 220 jug slides on to the cases so it seems like it will work....just wondering if there are other issues I'm missing.
Thanks, Dan_b

The KIPS actuator arm/shaft comes out of the inner clutch cover at a different angle for the 220. To do this, you would need the 220 inner clutch cover, outer clutch cover, and possibly the 220 clutch. The E clutch actuator might work with the 220 clutch cover, but I am not sure. You might also end up with pipe clearance issues because of the different KIPS confguration. If you make it work, show us how you did it!

Thanks David for your input. It sounds like it's not worth the trouble as I don't have the other parts laying around and if I did there are other issues...I knew It was too good to be true!

220 swap into 2000 200 frame?
220 swap into 2000 model 200 frame. Has anyone here done this? I think the motor mounts are the same but are there other issues with pipe fitment and clearances? Also is the 220 top end a direct fit to the late (2000) 200 bottom end?
Thanks, Dan_B

Frames are the same between the H and the 220, as are the crank cases and even con-rods.

only difference between the 96 up 200s and the 220s is the cylinder, piston, carb and chaindan_b wrote:220 swap into 2000 model 200 frame. Has anyone here done this? maybe the CDI but im not sure
if you have a 2000 KDX200 all you need is the top end, basically, your carb and chain will work with the 220 parts

Thanks bufftester and diymirage. I have several parts bikes/potential projects and your knowledge is a great help in exploring my options.
