KDX 250 year model

Hi guys

its me again. A friend of mine has a kdx 250 that he wants to sell. But i just want to find out what year it is?
The problem that i am finding is that it has a frame number and not a VIN number.
I will attach some pics for you guys also.
The frame number that i got is DX250D-000827
If anyone could help it would be awesome.

1991 (based on frame number)

How did you tell that from the frame number? would be nice to know for future use?

I would have guessed 91 due to the low number. Jason probably had a real way to tell. But (I am not a 250 expert) I belive that the KDX 250 (liquid cooled) was unchanged thru the series so the year shouldn't be that critical.

827 is the reason....I am not looking at the Model ID Guide right now, but I will guess 5,000 a year on KDX250??
