Ive tried the search function, but I cant find if this has been answered: Which kx rear fender is compatible with a 2002 kdx 200? Im shaving weight from my newly acquired kdx, and giving it an mx makeover. Id also like to know if disc brake covers can still be purchased? Its been years since Ive had a bike, so Im not sure if Acerbis still makes brake covers! Ill also be installing 2001 yz250 front end when Im finished. I appreciate any help on the fender front!

Non of the KX rear fenders will fit a 95 on KDX. You can get a "MX style" rear fender. FRP has them. For the front just about any KX fender will fit.

I bought a 2006 kxf250 rear fender new in box for 12 bucks shipping included on ebay to see if I can work out an acceptable rear fender. If not, it's not a big loss. I'll post pics if it happens.

I had one on my 2004 kdx for a while. It takes a little reforming with a heat gun to get it to fit. I had a couple of flat head screws attaching through the top into the kdx cross bar. Not great coverage and the rear frame extension bars show. Looked okay.

yeah, im pretty sure the P.O. might have popped one wheelie too many and flipped her
the subframe that the rear fender bolts onto was definitely bend and even though I think it is still bend (and pointing up higher then it should) at least it is now straight

Yeah, the kxf rear fender sucked. Thankfully it was only a 12 buck hit. I'm going to sell one of my kidneys and order the maier fender. I can still make the kxf fit, but my dremel is broke, my heat gun caught fire, and I'm just tired of dealing with it:)

Update: I actually made that kxf fender look and fit pretty damned good today. I trimmed a lot more off, then trimmed the old stock Kdx fender to act as an inner fender. Looks pretty sweet, and I'm only out a fraction of the maier fenders price. Pics to come!

I ended up messing up my rear fender! I went out to take pics, made a few "adjustments" with my hacksaw, and cut off too much! It still works, but I should've left well enough alone. It can be made to work nicely if you cut the original fender down to use as an inner fender and cut the new one down to use as the main rear. I still might post a pic, but I fear I'll be teased ;) I went ahead and ordered a maier to use instead. I should've just done that initially, but I'm a cheap bastard. Now I've spent ten extra bucks and still ended up ordering the maier. Such is my life. Spend a dollar to save a penny.
