My KDX when I use the rear brake, its not progressive. It just locks up. No matter how soft I touch it. It has new pads and the rotor looks fine. Am I just being to heavy handed with it?

And on that can a rear brake lever from another model fit thats a bit shorter? I have to put my heal on the peg to reach it.

Rear brake? Progressive? Nope, never heard of it.

You can try to adjust the pedal with the adjustment on the master cylinder and see if that helps any. If you lower the pedal it might make it harder for you to push as hard on it and in a way make it less sensitive. I have never had any luck with being able to feather the rear brake. Just lock it up and slid for the most part.

I have not heard of any other pedals being used. But Im sure there is something somewhere that could work. Or you could even cut your pedal back a little and re weld it. What size is your foot that you can't reach it anyway?

Could be because im a new rider, foot size is 8. But will try lowering the pedal.

size 8 ?
i havent been a size 8 since i was 8

you use MX boots when you ride or just your every day shoes?
if you just use shoes you may find once you get MX boots it will be a lot easier to reach so i would keep that in mind when modifying the pedal

I put a heavier return spring on my kdx 250 it helps with my heavy right foot. As for the lever if you can weld u can cut it and make it shorter.

depends on where here and there is but i wear a pair of fox comp 5 boots in a US size 14

but since you are allready using MX boots i dont see an issue with reworking the brake pedal
