Hyde Racing lists the skid plate/pipe guard combo for 2000 and up KDX220 bikes.

I have a '97 with a Gnarly desert.

I thought nothing changed from 97 to 2000. Am I incorrect about this?

aside from the graphics on the shrouds and the color of the tank, and other slight cosmetic changes the 220 was the same from 1997 to 2005
the frame did not change so the skid plate will work

Hyde racing's combo plate works only with one of the two pipes available for the KDX, though which one I am not sure
