This was in the 87 air box I got off eBay,stock or aftermarket?Just wondering ,going to run it as it seems to work really well.Dirty side of the box was.... well dirty but the clean side was clean so it seems to have done what it should.

Why is there dirt on the cage??
It is not mounted properly on the cage.

I took it off the cage and hadn't reset it properly before taking the pic.Dirt probaly came from the dirty side of the box while I was handling it.
I though it might be stock,thanks for the confirmation.

Is it original?? I would think it would be crumbling apart if it was original.

Yeah 30+ year old foam does tend to do that.A replacement stock filter's OK with me.Means 1 less thing to buy
