Thinking about putting a 220 carb on the wifes 200 to calm it down on top. Anyone done this? If so tell me what you thought

ive heard of people using 200 carbs to wake up the 220 so it stands to reason going the other would calm down a 200
not sure if its a good idea though, kinda like putting a pillow over your face to keep you qieut maybe ?

Sure, if the wife needs it a little more mellow, why not? You will be sacrificing some top end and gaining throttle control down low.

Honestly, the bike has never seen top end till I get tired of it smoking and clean it out. thought this way she might not be scared to hold it open some more

perhaps a flywheel weight might be an easier option...simple to fit & remove ?

Would love to find a cheap one to try. Bought a 220 to put the head/cylinder combo on my bike, so the carb was a gimmie

does anyone have actual experience with a flywheel weight on a 200? On mine I actually cut 8oz off and love it.

already put the carb on. I bought a 220 for the cylinder/head for my 200 hybrid. But thanks for the offer. JUst haven'
t had the time or weather to try it out. Have the rear shock apart now to make it shorter.

Ride report............................sorry to say, not much difference. A little top end loss, can't FEEL any low end difference.
