I've been looking for some riding gear, not going to buy any right now but hopefully get it for Christmas. Just wondering where you guys got yours, not very many places make green gear. i want the kawasaki gear but buykawasaki is always sold out of sizes i need, i suppose i could order it from my kawasaki shop, right. any info on what's good and what's not would be greatly appreciated. :prayer:

I buy gear from a lot of places, but New Enough has killer prices. They specialize in closeout gear, last year's styles, etc, all still new, just not the "new" styles.
They have good prices if you don't HAVE to have the latest stuff. They have the Fox and Thor green suits.

I also buy from my local Cyclegear shop in town, but they rarely have any green stuff, just blue and red

Global moto online also has good prices, http://www.gmo1.com

Instead of green gear, I buy the white/black or grey stuff. That way, whatever bike I ride, I'm not looking too far out of place.

For warm weather gear, I use Sahara gear from Moose. I think? Holds up quite well.

If you have a good dealership by the house (get treated right and not gouged for normal stuff), try them too. If you buy from them and they get to know you, it's possible that they'll start giving you discounts. On the web, I've had good luck with Motosport Outlet, http://www.motosport.com and MXSouth, http://www.mxsouth.com.

EDIT -

Ditto what Ski says. My gear is grey/white/black and I fit pretty much anything. Also, the Sahara jersey breathes a whole lot better in the heat thanks to the mesh.

Also, look at "last year's gear" closeouts. It's still just as good and you can save some money.

eBay for used gear. I've gotten nice things like boots that someone who can't fit their own foot correctly was selling. Usually 1/2 off unused gear on eBay and less than that for slightly worn stuff.
It's cheap and already broke in.

I'll second the MXsouth vote. I got my Moose Sahara gear from them.

If anyone comes across good prices on the new 06 MSR or 06 Answer gear at a good price let me know?? It can't be the cheap stuff though as our FTR contingency program :supz: only covers the mid range and high end gear.

Best place I have found, and it happens to be local, is Bob's Cycle in St. Paul. Go to http://www.bobscycle.com. They have closeouts and extraordinary prices.

Have you guys checked out RockGarden Equipment? If not this site has very good prices http://www.universalcycles.com/
I have the entire set and it is quality stuff. My favorite is the carbon fiber Gloves

This is a good thread...I've used both MXSouth and Rocky Mtn, both have great customer service and good prices. I've never heard of newenoughmx.com but I just checked out their site and I plan to order some kids' chest protectors from them. Thanks for the link!

And the tip on black/white/grey/silver gear is a good one. At first I had all green gear with black boots. I needed a replacement helmet and they were out of green, so I got blue. Then I forgot what I was doing and got blue boots. Now I look out of whack even before I start riding!

Wannaride-

What size are your kids? ( I assume you have them as you mentioned getting some kids chest protectors)

My boys constantly outgrow gear before it is worn out. If any of it would fit I would ship it to you. I know we have several sets of Motocross boots, some pants and jerseys. I'll have to check on what else there is in the too-small pile. Unfortunately I just gave away two small helmets in excellent condition.

Same goes for Ice Hockey gear if any of you out there have kids who skate.
