Sweet bikes! Likely worth more than you can buy a good KDX for? Likely selling as it's too much for him considering what they want in trade.

They are supposed to be very good bikes. The 4 strokes from that era apparently can be trouble, but the 2 strokes are solid bikes. They did not sell for big money, so resale is low on them. As long as the bike looks good, I would do it. Cafe husky is a pretty good forum for info.

Any known / common problems with these bikes? From the looks of it, parts availability might be an issue. There's no Husky dealers around where I'm at, and I havn't seen an online store besides ebay that carries OEM parts

Parts availability shouldn't be too bad, since Husky still produces this engine in the current 250/300. I'm not sure the chassis is the same as the same as the current bikes, but I think it is. The plasitcs are even upgradeable to make it look like the new bikes. It's a very good design that unfortunately is 20 pounds heavier than it ought to be in this day and age.

IN terms of known problems, I can't think of any. They are solid bikes. The kick starter is a little weird to get used to, but that's all.
