Hi all, Regarding the kx forks to the kdx... does the year of the kx forks have to match the year of the kx triple clamps they go into or are they pretty much universal, ie will 98 forks suit 02 clamps, or is it best to get matching year? Thanks.

Generally speaking, the only thing that matters is matching the fork diameter to the clamp. The diameter has increased over the years. Off the top of my head I don't know what years those changes were implemented, but you can google for that KX info....

Thanks for the reply, so generally speaking..its no doubt gonna be easier to purchase these parts from the same year bike, unless someone else can shed some light on this?

Yep, if you buy from ebay, the seller often has the year wrong for triples, so it is a crap shoot (I've been burned that way) but if you buy a whole ass'y you'll be sure to get the right part.

There are SEVERAL different sizes on the clamps. Do you have a certain year in mind?
