Hi guys. I just picked up a used FMF turbine core 2 silencer for my 99 KDX 220. I didn't get any washers with it. Anyone know what size washers I need? Is there suppose to be rubber grommets inside the mount holes cuz I don't have those either? Do I need different bolts? Any help would be great. Thanks guys

I'm not saying mine is right, but assuming you are asking about an o-ring between the exp chamber and silencer, I have none. No rubber at the mounting points either. HTH.

Actually, no. I'm talking about the mounting brackets that are attached to the pipe, where it mounts under the fender. The holes are much bigger then the stock silencer brackets.

I guess want I meant is grommet, not o-ring. What I'm saying is the stock bolts won't work on the Fmf silencer. What else do I need? What comes with the silencer when new or what did you guys use to bolt it on. At least need larger washers and maybe new bolts. Thanks

It sounds like you just need some grommets, washers, and bolts.
You can probably find all of that at any hardware store.

I used a piece of uhmw on mine to make a bracket for the rear and cut a circular piece for the front mount

It has enough give to it that it does not rattle loose like every other thing I've tried

OK, went to the bike shop and I was missing the rubber grommets. Got those and then stopped at the hardware store for some new bolts and washers. Should be good to go now. Will put it on tonight or tomorrow.

What I did was put the rubber grommets in, actually KTM grommets, then put 2 washers on the same size as the grommet, one on each side with an additional lock washer on the outside and blue loctite. Had to get longer bolts too. I think it should work just fine. Thanks for the replies.

Fired it up and I am surprised by how quiet it seems. Didn't actually ride it thought. Quiet is not a bad thing.
