Guys can you tell me where the rear brake spring attaches to the frame? Mine is missing the manual shows the spring and there is a peg on the brake pedal for it but i don't see anywhere on the bike where it attaches. I've searched for a post on this but no luck

there is a hole right above the lever, it is small but it is right where you would think it should attach

I found it i think it's where the swingarm bolt comes thru I couldn't see it cause of the black plug in the hole. thanks

is this spring really needed? mine fell off and got lost somewhere.

It is kind of needed but you can do without for a while.
I like to use a spring that is quite a bit stiffer than stock. I tend to leave my toe on my brake and without a stiffer spring I'll end up riding the brake.

Fair enough. I'll dig around in the garage and see if I can find something suitable. I think an old timing belt tensioner spring from one of the miatas would probably fit.
