hi im new to the forum. i have just brought a kdx 125 a1 (1990) and it has no power valve and i cant find 1 any where any advice on where to find the part or if i can use the part from another bike would be much appreciated

You'll need to look at some diagrams of that motor to see if it was equiped with a KIPS. It may not have been.
It is not likely that you could put a valve in it if it did not come with one.
I wonder if the '90 KDX125 was a rotary induction motor. Is the carb down in the right side engine cover, just forward of the clutch?

I believe the KDX125 is equipped with KIPS. Similar configuration to the E series KDX200. It's a reed valve motor, not rotary. One of my buddies has one, but I have never seen the motor torn down to be sure. I know it's a bitch to find parts for.
