Tall-person friendly?

Post by skippypinecone »

Not sure if this is more of a question or a poll. I am seriously considering building a hybrid and was wondering if a person who is 6-0 ft tall will be comfortable on the kx 125 frame. Reading Dirtbike's reviews on the kx 125 (2003-2004) they say that the bike is comfortable for a smaller rider but feels cramped for a taller rider. Any feedback or known modifications for a taller rider?

I met A guy here in OK with a 03 KX hybrid. He is 6+ feet tall. He made a few mods and his bike is tall and seems to fit him well. I think he put different tripl clamps on to adjust cockpit as well as a tall seat.

Gues I should find a rideable kx and see what it feels like. All the reviews say that the kx feels ok to a taller rider while standing, we ride 95 % tight single track around here and the seat only gets used the other 5% of the day. Currently riding a 2003 kdx 220 with kx front forks and I have risers on the bars.
