I picked up 96 kx 125 triples. What kx USD fork for the latest years would fit these triples?. I have surfed many threads but have had a hard time nailing down info.. For example , did upper tube diameters vary in later years ( 96 to 01 ) even though the lower tube remained 46mm? Was the valveing much different between 96 to 01?
The crossover chart thread lists only lower tube diameters. Not upper.
My goal is to fit the latest fork I can and stay at 46mm lower fork dia.
Thanks heaps!

Well I surfed over to bike bandits' oem parts area , and the 96 to 2002 kx125 triples all have the same part number. 2003 began a new number.. looking good so far. Also the front caliper holding assy. part number for kx125 96 to 2002 is the same part number for the 03 kdx220/200 . this is probably old new for you guys.
so I guess the only thig left is the valveing.. any suggestions/ worries ? thanks!!!

I doubt the kx triple are the same from 96 to 02, I can tell you for sure the 01 and 02 are different. 46 mm for 01 and 48 for 02.
There was a post not long ago listing all the difference for kx forks.

The forks should be the same for the 125 and 250 from 96-01, all listed as 46MM USD Kayaba. I would expect most other bikes from that time period running a 46 MM USD Kayaba would fit as well. But you would have to verify that yourself, as I am not aware of any place you can look up the external dimensions.
I expect that the outer tubes remained the same for ease of production I would expect variations in the internals from year to year.
The kx500 forks should also fit 97-04.
