Hey all.
Just putting out an invite to the local big ride of the year out here.

Calabogie is about 1 hour away from Ottawa, If your near it'll be a great 2 days of riding. There are some great trails right in my back yard!

it's 100 bones to get in and you get a t-shirt and lunches both days.

Wow Wow and WOW!
I never knew I had that much single track and awesome trail riding so close to home!
I started the event by myself but quickly met up with some other riders and managed to stick with them for the rest of the weekend.
Rode 8 hours the first day and did as many options as possible, Rode 3 hours the second day and rode all options for the morning. I rode well and did the expert stuff.
The bike is Great in the tight stuff, it was the equalizer up against 400ktm's and 550 bergs. Some ktm's blew right past me though...
Had some trouble on the really steep climbs and rocky fast sections, but I'm getting better at starting on a hill and managed to climb all of them I tried.
Bike is sick on the pipe and when I was grooving no one was up my ass.
Can't recommend Calabogie enough

Ok Everyone! Time for the 2012 version of the Calabogie Boogie. Last year was fantastic and I thought you all should know about this ride for 2012.

If anyone is interested in coming up, I have a spare room and a spare house that's basically just bedrooms and a bathroom (3pce). I'm in the middle of a reno but if you don't care about that it's a 4 bedroom. Just be clean and you can stay there.

Too bad September weekends are either work, or race weekends for me this year. Sure looks like a weekend of fun.

No, just local club events. I have an MX round, a vintage round, and a 6 hour hare scramble left to finish the season.
