Different kind of Dyna Ring question for H series owners

Did anyone happen to measure the thickness of the fibers that Revloc supplied before installing the DR?

I pulled mine today to mess around with the spring tension to get better lockup (I'll post those details after I have a chance to ride tomorrow) and measured my fibers around 2.54 mm. Based on the service manual, these would be way below spec, but I doubt I can go off of that.

I was just curies how much I've worn mine down.

I'm also considering testing out putting my OEM fibers in to see how it works considering Revloc won't be a source of the ones they supplied in the kit in the future.

I found this from another post, looks like I haven't worn mine too much.

Dyna Ring - .402 - .404

I'm interested in finding out more with you on this. I thought I read that Alan (Revloc) said Barnett frictions would work. But if the stock frictions are really thicker, I'm not surte that would work very well? Wouldn't the Barnett be the same thickness as stock? Thanks.

Yep, everything from stock (frictions and plates) are too thick. I tried the Revloc plates and stock frictions and it was still too thick. Only option is Revloc frictions and plates.

Ted, please let us know what you find out on pricing for replacement parts costs (H model) when you find out from Revloc. Thanks.

Ted, I measured my stock plates and frictions that I removed from my '02 when I installed my DR.

(7) steel plates - .054
(8) friction plates - .117

My steel plates are the same (basically) thickness as those that came with the DR. The DR frictions are .100 and my 8 yr old OEM's are .117.

Just some more info I thought I would share with everyone.
