whats the best year of kx forks

what is the best year or year range of forks?
i have a 06 kdx 200 that i want to convert.

2000 and up KX125 Forks are a common one...

i found a set of kx 250 forks. from what ive read i should be able to use the kdx front brake parts except for the rotor and wheel and stuff?

or make a custom axle and you can reuse everything

As far as I have seen the 125 and 250 forks of the same year will be the same forks with exception to the spring weight. The 250's being stiffer.

Weird, this is the email I got from him:
Hi Malcolm,

We have not axle conversions for your fork set-up. We only have a set-up for the 2000 ~ 2004 KX 125 forks to use the stock KDX wheel and speedo drive. I thought the 500’s were a straight bolt on ?

I was just going off what I read on his site. And the 99 and 2000 are the same.

I will correct the site to include the 99's as I for got that rbates9 was a 99 and his worked out ok for him.
