My sons and I had done some spring oilchanges and maint on the bikes, quads, Harleys, lawn tractors, etc this weekend. Figured let's get it all done at once.

Anyway, Connor started the KDX to blast down the street and I heard a very faint noise that I couldn't tell where it was coming from. I'd say it was an intermitant "ringing" noise. It just happened now & then, irrespective of engine rpm.

He said he had heard it from time to time and didn't think much of it (it was his bike last year & we swapped). The exhaust is so quiet on the KDX that you hear every little noise (stock exhaust).

Just curious if any experts out there have any input????

Kayla the cat thinks it's just a vibrating exhaust, but what does she know...

I'm inclined to listen to the cat.....

Could be any number of things loose though. Check all your nuts n' bolts and such.

Greg, my bike was making all kinds of noises when i first got it. Went through all the nuts and bolts, tightened things that were loose, fastened things that werent fastened at all. Made a huge difference.
