Millenium questions?

I'm assuming I need a replate due to the age and lack of maint by PO of my bike, so I am doing some research. Millenium seems good according to this site and they are the closest to me.
Who has used them and how did you like the results?
Also, they have an interesting cylinder exchange program. Has anyone ever tried that?

Thanks.

I used Millenium a couple of years ago to replate a CR250 cylinder. I have been satisfied with their work.
I haven't used the exchange program they have.

IMO I would be careful with any "exchange program". You might send them a good cylinder and get back scrap metal. I have no experience with them but they are going to send you some one elses cylinder and it may have a heli coil in every hole.

I sent my cylinder to Millenium and was very impressed with the results and service. I sent them a wiesco piston to match the bore to. I would have no reservations in trying their exchange program. Top notch company.

I've sent them two cylinders in the last year, very happy. They returned them faster than I expected.
I also sent Wiseco pistons with the cylinders.

That sure is a good possibility !

I have no experience with exchanging cylinders, but I don't think most of these companies will take and re-use just anything.
Here are the conditions that Millenium looks for in #3:

From their perspective, trying to replate a trashed cylinder is counterproductive. It would just hurt their reputation if they are sending out trashed cylinders.
With that being said, I would still always send my cylinder in. But unless you mark it, you really won't know if you are getting the same one back.

Good advice all, and thanks. I will post pictures when I get it apart, some time after my April 10 ride. Right now I am just expecting the worst I guess and trying to get educated.

Millenium is the "go to" place, among my group of riding friends. I have used them twice, with positive results.
